Part 4 - Race and History

Every epoch has its own interpretation of history born of its spirit. In the Middle Ages reigned the universalist interpretation of history that judged all events according to their part in the preparation of the "Dominion of God on Earth." In this dominion all differences due to natural law among persons, peoples, and cultures would become irrelevant before the one all-embracing doctrine whereby life has its ultimate meaning in the soul cleansed of all earthly contents. By this conception, body and flesh are regarded as originating from this world, and are accordingly sinful and must be chastened in consistently pious exercise for the salvation of the soul.

Today, I saw another reference to Hitler's "dark hair" on what is supposed to be a pro-Hitler website by a pro-Hitler commenter.

"It makes me wonder why Hitler, Goebbels, Himmler, Hess, Speer etc all had dark hair." -HdP

Neither Hitler nor Himmler had dark hair, the other three did. Too many people accept whatever they see in a photograph -- any individual photograph -- without taking into consideration that hair invariably looks darker in photos that are not taken in direct sunlight. The resolution/quality of the photo also makes a big difference. 

Hitler's hair was medium brown; Himmler's hair was a light shade of brown [or "dirty" blonde?]. Light to medium brown is probably the most common hair color among ethnic German people (this includes Austrians). From there it goes to lighter and to darker in probably equal numbers.

In addition, Hitler, Himmler and Hess had blue eyes. I can't discover the color of Speer's eyes, but his son has blue eyes . Brown-eyed Germans, like Goebbels, were just as German as blue-eyed Germans. Besides, Goebbels was the father of several light-haired, blue-eyed children. The blue-eyed Magda Goebbels' hair looks dark in most pictures but she was actually a blonde.

Hitler as a schoolboy. Low resolution of the photo makes for more contrast between dark and light, so the darks become black without any gradation. From this, we judge Adolf as a light to medium brown-haired boy.

Carolyn Yeager looks at two outstanding Germans named Manfred Roeder: the military judge who prosecuted the "Red Orchestra" traitors in 1942-43, and the patriotic activist called the Federal Republic's "most dangerous and notorious critic" who died on July 30th at age 85.

She also tells of a German historian's revisionist conclusions refuting the Belgian version of the famous Louvain massacre by German troops in August 1914. Highlights include:

• Prof. Ulrich Keller says German troops faced sniper fire from Belgian partisans (francs-tireurs) in the city of Louvain in WW1, and the evidence is found in 150 sworn statements from investigations and court records;
• The younger Manfred Roeder fought in the Battle of Berlin at age 15-16, and continued the battle for a true constitutional Germany free of US/Jewish domination for the rest of his life;
• Roeder was sentenced to prison twice (for 13 yrs and 2.5 yrs) for arson attacks and Volksverhetzung - incitement to hatred and insult;
• The death sentences sought and gained by Roeder the military jurist were all upheld on appeal after the war as being conducted in accordance with the law;
• The older Roeder was fully accepted in German society postwar, being an active member of the CDU, even though he had served and been admired by Hitler and Goering.

Carolyn Yeager examines the growing number of anti-racists in our ranks who promote an internationalist agenda while believing themselves, or pretending to be, innocent of such an intent.

• Internationalism is in force whenever gaining the approval of the "other", the "outsider'" is uppermost in consideration;
• Martin Gilbert and Wilhelm Marr are discussed;
• Fritz Berg says Germans are united by a common culture, not racially, and "Racism is disgusting";
• If the IHR lawsuit had never taken place, no matter who got the money, we would be better off today;
• John de Nugent is a WN who "reaches out" to African-Americans and "all people of all races who suffer under Zionism';
• When Veronica Clark tries to write history she proves she is not a historian;
• A large part of those counted as foreign troops in the Waffen-SS divisions were Volksdeutsche (ethnic Germans) from east, west and south;
• Clark's 2009 article titled "Hitler's Army: A Triumph for Diversity?" is a hodge-podge of fanciful speculation and mis-representation;
• Carolyn sums up: We are losing on Race because of misunderstandings that grow in a mixed-race culture.

Liberalism

The Delusion of Human Equality

The liberal age's picture of the world is based on the one important premise, an assumption  promulgated as dogma in the French Revolution of 1789, that humans are by nature equal. Human reason [Vernunft] was allegedly the very thing that would unite all humans on the Earth and make them ready -- some sooner, others later -- to take part in the great ideal global culture, its blessings and its peace. The laws of logic, so one said, were everywhere the same and were valid not only for Europeans but also for Negroes. That however implied the duty of educating humans more and more into clever beings guided only by calculation [Verstand]. The appeal was made to the individual and his insight that had been given to him, whereby he was supposed to overcome the dark drives of emotion and of the will to live, which stem from an earlier stage of development and are unworthy of a modern man.

This film from 1937 is a joy to watch as we see German-American boys engage in the same type of camping life and sport activities as their ethnic cousins enjoyed in the German homeland. What an extraordinary opportunity this camp experience provided them for discovering and demonstrating their natural gifts of industriousness, teamwork, discipline, comradeship, health and fitness ... and just plain fun. In Volks-Deutsche Jungen in U.S.A. (German Youth in the U.S.A) you’ll see what first appears to be an unremarkable story of a boys’ summer camp. The film starts with the camp under construction and excited children piling onto chartered buses to make the journey from New York City to Windham, New York in the summer of 1937. The boys pitch tents, unload crates of baked beans, and perform physical fitness drills. If you pay close attention, you might notice that some of the boys are wearing shorts bearing the single lightning bolt insignia that marked the younger contingent of the Hitler Youth, but it’s not until the “Flaggenappell” (flag roll call) at 13:47 that the affiliation becomes clear.

The camp the boys and young men in this film attended was operated by the Deutsche-Amerikanische Berufsgemeinschaft (DAB), more commonly known as the German-American Vocational League or the German-American Bund. The DAB, which came to include more than 70 local chapters, was founded in 1936 to promote Germany.

These films were the property of an independent organization. The sequence of events that led to the film coming to the Motion Picture Preservation Lab began when the U.S. government searched the DAB’s national headquarters on January 5th 1942 [almost immediately following the state of war between the U.S. and Germany -cy]. Under Federal Grand Jury Subpoena, agents seized scores of 16mm films and sound recordings that documented the activities of the DAB. The audio-visual material comprised what was labeled “EXHIBIT 147” in the case against the DAB’s un-American activities. These films and sound recordings are held at the National Archives as records of that investigation. An archivist discovered them in the textual holdings in the late 1980s and transferred to the Motion Picture, Sound, and Video Branch at that time.

Carolyn confronts the theory put out by Veronica Clark, based partly on Clark's reading of Adolf Hitler's "Platterhof Speech," that Germans are a mixed-race people.

• August 1st was the 70th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, being commemorated by the Federal Republic of Germany as much as in Poland;
• Clark claims herself to be German even though only 5% biologically German;
• Clark received her Master's degree in military history from an online university;
• The talk to military officers at Platterhof in May 1944 was an effort by Hitler to instill the belief that a military victory was still possible if the necessary toughness could be demonstrated; weakness meant defeat;
• Hitler calls the Nordic the most valuable 'race nuclei' in the German people, along with other racial nuclei, which are sometimes called just 'races';
• Clark says German people's "bastardization" actually makes them more capable than more pure Northern races;
• Hitler was adamant that the presence and activity of Jews is the main factor in the ruin of societies;
• Emphasis on the importance of leadership, the hunt for leaders, and the demands made on leaders - abandonment of leadership being cowardice;
• The talk about race plays a small part in this speech and is not particularly important to the overall message.

• The early days in Obersalzberg wth Dietrich Eckart - he was known only as Herr Wolf until he began giving public speeches - how he bought his house "Wachenfeld";
• Recalls the many friends from those days, which were the best days in his life, and how he enjoyed the ladies and pretty girls;
• Hitler mentions "the second volume of my book" being written in the Deutsche Haus in Berchtesgaden;
• Praises Dietrich Eckart, calls him the "polar star" to the early National Socialists and his death a great loss.

In the Summer 1971 my son brought me from America a peculiar magazine: Playboy, June 1971, the great interview “Albert Speer—Hitler’s closest confidant and second in command.”1 That interview in the sensationally edited magazine is accompanied by ill-reputed and illustrated jokes and by naked, boasting 'girls'. The answers given by the great ethicist and titan of repentance to the smartly questioning reporter, Eric Norden, in the multimillion-read magazine, are unique and way-out, and contain such wicked passages that they become unbelievable even at dimensions preferred by Speer.

The Contradictious Speer

This section from Giesler's memoir Ein Anderer Hitler deals with his correction of Albert Speer’s insulting statements about the Fuehrer at occasions when Giesler was present or knew differently because of his own experience with Hitler.

To add some perspective to Giesler’s account, we remind you that Speer’s biographer Gitta Sereny titled her book, Albert Speer: His Battle With Truth. 

In addition, Nicolaus von Below, Hitler’s Luftwaffe adjutant from 1937-45, wrote in his memoir At Hitler’s Side about an incident of seeing a striking red color appear in the sky while in the company of Hitler on the terrace at Obersaltzberg in Aug. 1939. He told Hitler it augured a “bloody war.” He said he “recounted this conversation to Speer in 1967 but later he (Speer) attributed my remark erroneously to Hitler in his book Erinnerungen.”1

National-Socialism cannot easily be separated from Adolf Hitler and the German Third Reich even though some try to do it. To put it in biblical language, Many say they are National-Socialist, but few there are who can truly demonstrate it.

• Four examples in as many days of those claiming to be N-S when Carolyn thinks they don't quite fit the bill;
• The foundations of National-Socialism lie in the German Volkisch nationalist movement combined with the anti-communist Freicorps paramilitary culture following the World War, plus the humiliation of Versailles;
• Where and how Fascism and Nat-Soc veer away from each other;
• Idealism is a characteristic attributed to Germans in particular which is abused by the Jewish spirit of selfishness and materialism;
• Scientific racism and antisemitism are essential to protect the Folk, otherwise it's only economic theory;

Alex Davies is the founder of National Action, an organization of British youths (17 to 22 yrs.) who are committed to taking back their country for the indigenous White British people. In less than a year, the organization has come a long way, bringing more scrutiny of their actions from the "authorities" than they had intended to have at this point. Some highlights of the discussion:

• The demographic finality of 10-20 years down the road is what motivated Alex, 19, and a few friends to commit themselves to doing something about it now;
• Alex agrees with the call to "get away from the Internet" and out into the "real world" via street activism;
• National Action is based on the principles of National Socialism and therefore cannot be a part of any other organization or party;
• The Jewish element is what causes division among the various White nationalities of Europe, who would otherwise get along pretty well;
• Playing on the Counter-Culture, i.e. ridiculing the Left, is a way to reach the more creative youth in the population;
• No to wearing uniforms but yes to creating a unified appearance for demonstrations;
• Alex's goal is an independent Britain separate and distinct from the rest of Europe and from America.
