Continuing with the theme of the 100th Anniversary of World War I (1914-2014), Carolyn Yeager focuses on the transparancy of the accusations of barbarism and drunkenness on the part of the German soldier in Belgium. In the second hour, who is telling the most lies in the current Ukraine war is discussed. Highlights include:

• The theme of the Germans "descending from their past high culture to the level of barbarians" is repeatedly used by the Allies, thus the fire that destroyed much of the world-famous library at Louvain (Leuven) is played up;
• Most of the stories recounting atrocities are by nameless people, and were later rebuked as false by authorities;
• Gottlieb von Jagow, German minister of State, wrote that the fire broke out after explosion of a convoy of benzine, which was caused by shots fired during the battle with the illegal civilian shooters;
• Photograph fakery, both in the form of false captions and in the more sinister creation of fake scenes, events, etc. are much more common than people realize - some examples given;
• The suppression and/or ommision of parts of the content of diplomatic reports and/or telegram messages was common;
• Of the nations, Russia was the most extreme in lying, followed by France;
• The pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine and the Putin govt. are using lies as a strategy, meaning they have no shame about it and don't really expect to be believed;
• Bill Finck writes an article in which he compares the situation in today's Russia with the United States in the 1950's, when the undermining of the White majority began.

Carolyn Yeager looks at two outstanding Germans named Manfred Roeder: the military judge who prosecuted the "Red Orchestra" traitors in 1942-43, and the patriotic activist called the Federal Republic's "most dangerous and notorious critic" who died on July 30th at age 85.

She also tells of a German historian's revisionist conclusions refuting the Belgian version of the famous Louvain massacre by German troops in August 1914. Highlights include:

• Prof. Ulrich Keller says German troops faced sniper fire from Belgian partisans (francs-tireurs) in the city of Louvain in WW1, and the evidence is found in 150 sworn statements from investigations and court records;
• The younger Manfred Roeder fought in the Battle of Berlin at age 15-16, and continued the battle for a true constitutional Germany free of US/Jewish domination for the rest of his life;
• Roeder was sentenced to prison twice (for 13 yrs and 2.5 yrs) for arson attacks and Volksverhetzung - incitement to hatred and insult;
• The death sentences sought and gained by Roeder the military jurist were all upheld on appeal after the war as being conducted in accordance with the law;
• The older Roeder was fully accepted in German society postwar, being an active member of the CDU, even though he had served and been admired by Hitler and Goering.

Liberalism

The Delusion of Human Equality

The liberal age's picture of the world is based on the one important premise, an assumption  promulgated as dogma in the French Revolution of 1789, that humans are by nature equal. Human reason [Vernunft] was allegedly the very thing that would unite all humans on the Earth and make them ready -- some sooner, others later -- to take part in the great ideal global culture, its blessings and its peace. The laws of logic, so one said, were everywhere the same and were valid not only for Europeans but also for Negroes. That however implied the duty of educating humans more and more into clever beings guided only by calculation [Verstand]. The appeal was made to the individual and his insight that had been given to him, whereby he was supposed to overcome the dark drives of emotion and of the will to live, which stem from an earlier stage of development and are unworthy of a modern man.

Carolyn Yeager describes the speeches and comments by the current leaders of the countries that participated in World War 1:  Britain, Belgium, France, Russia and Germany/Austria. In the second hour, a report from Paul Hickman on the Ehrenmarsch for the victims of Bad Nenndorf in Germany and more on Adolf Hitler's Platterhof speech. Some highlights:

• British Prime Minister David Cameron takes the prize for continuing to argue that a "great moral cause" was being fought for in the Great War;
• Vladimir Putin also finds it impossible to find any fault with Russia in starting that war;
• Reports show that armed troops of both France and Russia crossed the border into Germany on August 2, the day before Wilhelm II declared war on France;
• NPD organizers of the Bad Nenndorf Memorial March want a plaque at the site to commemorate the Germans tortured there by the British;
• Veronica Clark's comments at The White Network reveal her changing story and questionable sources;
• An examination of the entire Platterhof speech shows that the racial question makes up only 1/12 of the content and contributes to the larger discussion of building up a stronger German Folk.

In the year 113 the Roman senate erected a gigantic column for the emperor and military leader Trajan. (Shown right) On the capital of the column stood the gilded statue of the honored.

The art historian Bruhns writes ”Used to gigantism and always striving to exceed, Rome created that form of eternal triumph which then did mankind not less convince of its greater impression than the older kind of triumphal arch, now of a lesser rank. As the colossal column expresses the idea of “height” exceptionally well, it can also be used very well for the adoration of the “highest.” Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius were given similar columns in Rome. Arcadius got his at the new capital Constantinople.

When Europe during the Napoleon era felt itself specially close to Rome’s greatness, it presented the new emperor with the Vendome column in Paris—and his conqueror, Alexander of Russia, a second one in Petersburg.”

The emerging Christianity overthrew the images of antique greatness and now paid homage to its believers on imposing columns. After the final decline of the ancient dignities around the 4th and 5th centuries, ascetic Christians requested the top of the Roman columns as pleasing to God. The best known among them was Symion Stylites from Aleppo. Those ascetics and penitents, called stylites or “Säulenheilige (column saints), strove to increase their ranking  by self-elevation.

The current year 2014 is the centenary (100th anniversary) of the start of what came to be called the First World War, called "The Great War" before WWII. To learn how and why this war took place, Carolyn goes to two sources: Thomas Dalton's "The Jewish Hand in the World Wars, part 1" and the introduction and first chapter of The Hidden History: Secret Origins of the First World War by Gerry Docherty and Jim MacGregor. To the question: Were the Jews or the British responsible? How about both?  

• How a small number of Jews can control entire nations;
• Zionists set out to obtain ownership of Palestine for the Jews;
• The English establishment was willing to make deals with Jewish Zionists to bring the USA into the war;
• Cecil Rhodes and the Society of the Elect were a secret group of very powerful Englishmen with the goal of controlling the entire world;

Defying a ban by their new Russian-backed rulers, thousands of Crimean Tatars gathered at a mosque on Sunday to commemorate the day 70 years ago the mass deportation of their families began under the orders of Soviet leader Josef Stalin.

Crimea's Muslim Tatars are among the most vociferous opponents of Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine and have condemned as "inhuman" the temporary ban on mass gatherings, which was issued just days before the symbolic date in the minority group's history.
