“Germanist and Germanophile” James Damon is known for his popular translations of important revisionist documents that you often find in your email box. He is one of those people who work quietly behind the scenes and often don’t get the attention they deserve. James teaches German and is otherwise active with the German-Texan Heritage Society located in the historic German Free School building in his home town of Austin, TX. The latest of his many politically important translations is Part One of Hostility Towards Germans: The Anti-German Narrative in the West by Manfred Kleine-Hartlage. Carolyn and James discuss this article and the current climate in Germany today.
